Getting Started

What is MindEase and how can it help me? +

MindEase is an anonymous mental health platform specifically designed for students preparing for competitive exams. We provide counseling services, peer support communities, self-help resources, and crisis support—all while maintaining complete anonymity. Our platform helps you manage exam stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges without compromising your privacy.

How do I get started with MindEase? +

Getting started is simple and anonymous. Click "Get Support" to create your anonymous account. You'll choose a nickname and select your exam type, but no personal information is required. Once registered, you can access all our services including counseling, community forums, and resources.

Do I need to provide my real name or personal details? +

Absolutely not. MindEase is built on the principle of complete anonymity. You only need to choose a nickname and provide basic information about your exam preparation phase. No real names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other identifying information is required or collected.

Privacy & Anonymity

How does MindEase ensure my anonymity? +

We use a unique anonymous ID system instead of traditional user accounts. Our platform includes advanced privacy features that sanitize your data, and we never collect identifying information. All counseling sessions, community interactions, and resource usage are linked only to your anonymous ID, ensuring complete privacy.

Can counselors or other users identify me? +

No. Our counselors only see your chosen nickname and anonymous ID. Other community members see the same. We've designed every aspect of our platform to prevent identification, including advanced measures to prevent correlation of activities across different sessions.

What data do you collect and store? +

We only collect data necessary to provide our services: your chosen nickname, exam type, preparation phase, session notes (for counseling continuity), and privacy preferences. We don't collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, or any data that could be used to identify you personally.

Can I delete my account and data? +

Yes, you can permanently delete your anonymous account and all associated data at any time from your privacy settings. Once deleted, all your session records, community posts, and activity logs are permanently removed from our systems.

Our Services

What counseling services do you offer? +

We offer both text-based chat counseling and voice counseling sessions with qualified mental health professionals. Our counselors specialize in academic stress, exam anxiety, and student mental health. Sessions can be scheduled or accessed on-demand based on availability.

Are your counselors qualified professionals? +

Yes, all our counselors are licensed mental health professionals with specialized training in academic stress and student counseling. They undergo additional training on our anonymity protocols and are experienced in working with students preparing for competitive exams.

What is the community feature? +

Our community features include anonymous forums where you can discuss challenges with peers, support groups for specific exams or situations, and success story sharing. It's a safe space to connect with other students who understand your experiences, all while maintaining complete anonymity.

What self-help resources are available? +

We provide a comprehensive library of resources including stress management techniques, study strategies, mindfulness exercises, anxiety coping mechanisms, and exam-specific guidance. Resources are curated by mental health professionals and updated regularly.

Technical Support

What devices and browsers are supported? +

MindEase works on all modern web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices. No app downloads are required—everything works through your web browser for enhanced privacy.

What should I do if I'm having technical issues? +

Try refreshing your browser, clearing cache, or using an incognito/private browsing window. If issues persist, you can contact our technical support through the anonymous contact form. We'll help resolve any technical problems while maintaining your anonymity.

Is there a mobile app? +

Currently, MindEase is web-based only. This design choice enhances privacy since web browsers offer better anonymity controls than mobile apps. Our web platform is fully responsive and works excellently on mobile devices.

Crisis Support

What should I do in a mental health emergency? +

If you're experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, reach out immediately. Call the national KIRAN mental health helpline at 1800-599-0019, or contact trusted services like AASRA (+91-98204-66726) and Sneha (044-2464-0050). You can also visit our Crisis Support page for more options.

If you or someone nearby is in immediate physical danger, dial the pan-India emergency number 112 (Police 100 / Ambulance 108).

Is crisis support really available 24/7? +

Yes. The Government of India’s KIRAN helpline (1800-599-0019) works 24x7 in multiple Indian languages. Several partner NGOs such as AASRA and the Vandrevala Foundation also operate round-the-clock lines. MindEase keeps an updated list and routes you to local support without revealing your identity.
